Blog

Welcome! This is the first post on my new WordPress website, built as part of ISCI 250. Here I will share what I am learning about building websites, creating content, and communicating online.

WordPress makes it easy to build a website without writing code. In this post I walk through logging into the dashboard, exploring the admin menu, and making my first edits. Posts are used for timely, dated content like blog entries, while pages hold static content like an About or Contact page.

This semester I am learning how information, media, and technology shape the way we communicate. Building this website is a hands-on way to practice those ideas, from organizing content to designing for an audience.
